SmartLipo™ Laser Liposuction

The SmartLipo™ Procedure
Dr. Jason Leedy will begin the SmartLipo™ procedure by making a tiny incision, typically about 2mm wide, in the area designated for fat removal. He will then insert a low-energy laser fiber designed to liquefy the fat cells, which are then suctioned out. Because SmartLipo™ targets fat cells with extraordinary precision, the tissue surrounding the treatment area is left virtually unaffected. The SmartLipo™ laser liposuction procedure is generally performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia and usually takes less an hour to complete.
SmartLipo™ Recovery
Since SmartLipo™ does not require general anesthesia for most patients, recovery time is minimal. Patients should rest for one to two days after the procedure; however, most patients report very little post-operative discomfort from SmartLipo™. Since the incisions for this particular type of liposuction are so small, residual scarring is very light and can be easily hidden.

As with any surgical procedure, SmartLipo™ laser liposuction does carry risks. These include:
