Brow Lift

The loss of skin elasticity and tautness as we get older frequently leads to sagging and drooping of the skin above our eyes. This can create hooding and “frown lines” over the brow, giving the appearance of anger, exhaustion, or sadness. A brow lift, or forehead lift, can turn back the hands of time and reduce forehead lines, as well as lift sagging eyebrows and tighten the skin. The procedure begins with a small incision hidden in the scalp or camouflaged in the hairline. Dr. Leedy will lift and redrape the skin of the forehead, creating a tighter, smoother appearance and causing the muscles that form “frown lines” to weaken. The aesthetic results of a brow lift should last for ten years or more.

Patients receiving a brow lift from our plastic surgeon are often able to return to normal daily routines in about seven to ten days. Brow lift can be performed on an outpatient basis from our facial plastic surgeon in Cleveland.

Endoscopic Brow Lilft

Patients may also consider an endoscopic brow lift. This advanced procedure involves smaller incisions and reduced scarring and recovery time. With endoscopic brow lift, Dr. Leedy can perform the procedure utilizing three to five incisions that are about an inch long, adjusting the forehead muscles and skin to give patients a more vibrant, youthful appearance. Endoscopic brow lift is less invasive than traditional brow lift, and is frequently ideal for individuals who require more subtle aesthetic forehead correction.

For a more complete makeover, many of our patients combine a brow lift with rhinoplasty or face lift, which limits the cost of multiple procedures and prevents patients from having to undergo two separate healing periods.
